Could your community help each other to be better, more active, cared for or connected? We think there are opportunities for co-operative, enterprising solutions focusing on wellbeing and prevention.

Until the end of this year, 2017, thanks to funding from Power to Change, we at the Plunkett Foundation can offer you a one-off opportunity to receive specialist support for developing your ideas and a small pot of funding, for example for visiting existing projects.

Most of the support and funding for pioneer groups has now been allocated. You can still:

We are sorry we cannot offer this support to communities outside of England, as it is funded by an innovation grant by Power to Change (England). You are welcome to use our materials and we may be able to help answer queries.

If you are in Wales, look out for the ‘Helping People Set-up Care Co-operatives’ project by the Wales Co-operative Centre.

Plunkett Foundation helps communities to take control of their challenges and overcome them through co-operation. We support people, predominantly in rural areas, to set up and run life-changing community co-operatives; enterprises that are owned and run democratically by large numbers of people in their community. They help people to tackle a range of issues such as isolation, loneliness and poverty, and come in many forms including shops, cafes, pubs and land-based initiatives, and anything in between.
